Are you ready to discover Thailand in a different way?
This Adventurous Thailand Exploration Tour will give you the chance to discover Thailand in a different way. We visit historically important places like Kanchanaburi, the old capital Ayutthaya and Kamphaeng Phet. We will go off the beaten tracks and explore the less visited places.
We are going to experience Thailand and we will do this on foot, by train, by bicycle, by boat, or on the back of an elephant. Sometimes we will use local transportation or our own private transportation.
We will get a "real taste" of Thailand. We try the local kitchen and its local delicacies. Visiting Thailand without trying the culinary specialties in this region is unthinkable!
Mae Sot, Mae Sariang bordering Burma (nowadays Myanmar) and Mae Hong Son
are small laid back towns which are less visited by tourists. There are
many different hill tribes living in these areas. Each Hill tribe has its
own and unique language, customs and traditions.
We will visit these Hill tribes in their own ambiance and we can witness
their age old way of living. Nowadays many of these unique ethnic minorities
are struggling to preserve their cultural identity and traditions. They
are fighting against time and the modernization of the society around them.
In Chiang Mai, the "Rose of the North", we can witness the Lanna culture clearly in the architecture of the temples, local houses as well in the local customs. To discover the rural areas of the North we will use the bicycle. The two days bicycle-trip is the perfect way to get to know rural Thailand and its people on your own pace.
Besides the beautiful nature and the rich culture you will be surprised by the unlimited hospitality and friendliness of the local people. This will make an ever lasting impression on you!
This Adventurous Thailand Exploration Tour will give a very good impression of Thailand, not only the "highlights" but also the lesser known areas of this beautiful and diverse country. Your memories of this adventure will last a lifetime!
Day 1 Bangkok - Kanchanaburi (D)
In the early morning (about 06.30 hours) we depart from our meeting point

of War during WW II. Visits in Kanchanaburi are: the Bridge over the river
Kwai, the War Museum, and the War cemetery. We make

the time here. You can relax with a Traditional Thai Massage or rent a
bike to experience and enjoy the local rural life.

Day 3 Kanchanaburi - Ayutthaya (B)
In the morning we depart for Ayutthaya the former capital of Siam. In the afternoon we make a boat trip around the island of Ayutthaya.
First we will use local transportation to go to the pier from where we
will start. We start with a visit to the Wat Panoengchoen temple with
a giant Buddha statue. At the end of our relaxing boat trip we will stop
at the Elephant camp located near the river. This river is very important
because every evening these majestic animals take a bath here. We can

like. We return to the hotel and enjoy the evening ourselves.
