During the Tour
Traveling in Asia requires some self discipline. We strongly advise you to follow all instructions of our Tour Leaders. Being sick in the tropics is not fun and it would be a pity for your trip.
Water
Tap water in Asia is not always potable. Therefore please avoid washed
fruit or raw vegetables, as well as ice cubes. Drinking water in bottles
is available in many places.
Mosquito's
Protect yourself with mosquito milk/mosquito spray, not only in the evening and at night (malaria), but also during the day (Japanese B Encephalitis and Dengue Fever).
Sunburn
Protect yourself against the sun by wearing a hat or cap. Use protection sun lotion against sunburn. Protect the eyes with good quality sun glasses.
Avian flu (bird flu)
Avoid contact with live chickens, ducks, birds, ... and pigs!
Rabies
Do not touch dogs or cats. a bite from a dog or cat (or monkey) can cause rabies (with possible fatal consequences if left without treatment) and means the end of your trip.
In case of medical problems, or if you want to visit a doctor or a
hospital, please contact immediately the Tour Leader.
